It was good to see Lee again at our 50th reunion. As always, she was as I remembered her from our lunch group at B-CC- quiet, modest, very bright and with a wry sense of humor, classic style and sweet smile. My condolences to her family and friends-- am sure she will be missed.
Lee and I met in 7th grade on the first day of school at Leland Jr. High in 1960. We formed an immediate friendship that stayed strong over the 62 years since then. For most of that time we lived within a few miles of each other in suburban Maryland, our kids grew up as friends, and our families shared hundreds of happy activities and holiday events. Lee was always able to crack me up with laughter, but more importantly, she was a loving support in sad times too. I feel so grateful that she was my "chosen friend", and I will miss her for the rest of my life.
